I was so sorry to hear of Phyllis' passing away. She was a joy and delight to be around and was a perfect example of what a lady should be. My mother (Duchess) and my aunt (Grubbsy) lived at Victoria Oaks. Before their deaths, I was there constantly. I would keep an eye out for Phyllis when she left and helped her with her groceries and/or mail when I spotted her. We always checked on her and made sure we offered to share our holiday meals with her.
She would mail both my mother and me separate thank you notes for anything I did. It was a running joke too see which of them would write the most notes because they would both mail notes back and forth, thanking each other for their thoughtful thank you notes.
I have thought of Phyllis frequently and pulled in several times to see if I could help her if I was passing by and saw her pulling in. I was always amazed at how much and how well she did things at her age.
You are all blessed to be her family.
